Embedded-DVR

Eye3Data, a leader in Digital Surveillance solutions introduces its "new" Standalone DVR. With advanced features such as, 2-way audio, multi-site remote Live-monitoring/playback, MPEG4 compression, up to 2 Terabytes of storage and an easy to use "remote-control" based Graphical interface, this system is by far the most feature-rich and economical Standalone in the marketplace.

IP-Based Security Surveillance Architecture

Which do we recommend – Analog v/s Digital?

Knowing how big your system should be is one step in selecting a surveillance package; the second is to know what type of system is best for your needs. Choosing between digital and analog is not difficult; it just involves familiarizing yourself with the differences between the two.

Digital Systems like the EYE3, offer plug-and-play surveillance through your personal computer. Hardware is designed as a self-contained unit that eliminates the need for quads, switches, multiplexers, time-lapse VCR’s, motion detectors and remote monitoring devices. Simply put, the EYE3 requires less space.

Analog systems require more pieces working together to get all the desired functions of a digital system like the EYE3. Cameras, quads or switchers, multiplexers, time-lapse VCR’s, motion detectors and remote video monitoring devices all work together to create a full surveillance system. This type of package requires more space than its digital counterpart. Analog systems also do not archive video footage as effectively as a digital video system. The videotapes used with an analog system wear through uses and do not reproduce from one tape to another in a zero-loss format. While quads and switchers make recording multiple cameras possible, cameras are recorded one at a time in timed segments. Digital systems, like the PC Witness, can record all cameras simultaneously.

As for price, the digital system is a cheaper option. Each device in an analog system must be purchased separately, and with videotapes a constant expense, the price can balloon quickly. The EYE3 is a self-contained USB device that works with a personal computer, a piece of equipment most every house/business already owns, and is compatible with most any type of surveillance camera.

Eye3data, Inc. has leveraged its core Advanced surveillance technologies and integrated it with several 3rd party products to provide a series of solutions for the end-consumer. Our services organization, comprising of consultants who are knowledgeable about our core technologies, will work closely with the end-consumer to determine the best solution to their business problem. POS Solution

 

Eye3data’s POS Solution has been developed primarily for the Retail customers. Our advanced surveillance technology would be integrated with existing POS Cash Register vendors (NCR, IBM etc). The integrated solution will help control shrink at the store. Our solution would capture at the transaction level, details of products scanned at the counter. Based on the date and time stamp of each transaction, the customer would be able to access the video images captured at that precise moment.

 

Our system also captures the closing of a cash register. Should there be a discrepancy in the cash collected v/s Cash reported, our system could be used to view the video images while the cash was being collected, counted and transferred. This process would virtually eliminate any possibility of shrinkage of cash and/or products.

Perimeter Fencing Solution

 

Eye3Data has also integrated its core surveillance technology with existing Fencing technologies to provide an integrated Perimeter Fencing solution. This solution has been primarily designed as an outdoor solution for Hospitals, Schools, University Campuses, Day-Care centers, Border Patrol, Prisons and other Government institutions.

 

There are two ways our surveillance technology is integrated to protect the perimeter of your facility:

 

1) Our Eye3 Advanced surveillance can be configured to establish up to 10 areas for motion detection. The level of motion sensitivity can also be controlled using our software. Based on this motion detection technology, if there is any unauthorized motion at the perimeter of your facilities, a message is sent to the central console along with an alarm informing the central control center about a possible violation.

 

2) Our Eye3 Advanced Surveillance software has also been “integrated” with the Fencing technology software, such that when a violation occurs our PTZ cameras detect the infraction, PAN and Zoom-In immediately to the exact location of the infraction, send the alarm to the control center and continue recording the actual occurrence of the infraction.

Q: What is the difference between H-263 and MPEG-4 Hardware Compression?

A: On MPEG-4 hardware compression systems the video is processed and compressed by the hardware then sent through the PCI bus. On H-263 the video is captured and cached then compressed by the software. H-263 is a software compressed product.

 

Q: What is Hardware Compression & how does it compare to Software Compression?

A: In simple terms, "compression" is the method of how video files are stored and accessed. The majority of DVR products & systems use software based compression. Hardware compression offers faster data speeds, smaller file sizes and superior picture quality for video playback.
